In Focus 2024
In Focus celebrates the wealth of artists living and working on the Redlands Coast on Quandamooka Country, and the significant role art groups play in the cultural life of the region. Held annually, In Focus brings diverse artists and art groups together, facilitates networking and collaborations between members, with artworks across a range of media.
Performance has always been a part of visual arts as seen in historical art movements like Impressionism, Abstraction, and Pop Art. In Focus 2024 centres on the theme of ‘Performance’. Artists were invited to explore how they could evoke, reminisce and capture the feeling or essence of performance through their art. Local artists were encouraged to visit performances for inspiration and their subjects include music, theatre, dance, comedy and all its various forms.
