My Soil Farsh is an ongoing project about place and community-building, and this is the third iteration. Grounded in the Iranian sensibility of Farsh (Persian carpet) as both an actual and symbolic ground for gathering, artist Prita Tina Yeganeh reimagines this ancient tradition as an evolving, participatory, ecological artwork that fosters togetherness and connection in the diaspora.
For the first time, Yeganeh offers the broader community a glimpse into the intimacies of the making of the Farsh, uniting ancient and modern objects used in the soil preparation and printing of the Farsh, video documentation of the process and prints archiving the Farsh’s visual language.
