Passage brings together two Moreton Bay artists, Pattie Murray and Sandra Pearce, on a journey through the intertidal zone, exploring the past and present through the mediums of paper, porcelain and natural fibres. Both artists respond to the movement, drama and fragility of tidal flows and the debris that impacts upon our local coastal areas. Their exploration of the theme, both individually and collaboratively, provides a variety of interpretations. Together their artworks express the emotion and memories evoked by the passage of water between land and sea, mirroring the textures, shapes and interwoven nature of the materials washed up on our beaches.
