Island Glide draws together two of Stradbroke Island’s intrinsic subcultures in its dynamic meld of creativity with surfing. This collaborative multimedia installation draws together a group of island creative’s – Jess and Adrian Scott, Marty Smith, Clara Durbidge and Chris Hutton (and the Salt Lick’n’ Hicks), and Jane Craig – in an installation that includes hand-painted and sculpted surfboards, a collection of photographs of island locals and landscapes, all informed and extended by music written on and about Stradbroke Island.
This Project is supported by Arts Queensland and the Regional Arts Development Fund. The Regional Arts Development Fund is a Queensland Government and Redland City Council partnership to support Local Arts and Culture.
