A Touch of Gold: Celebrating 50 Years of the Coochie Art Group pays tribute to one of the oldest community art groups in the Redlands. Founded by artist Charles Barnett on Coochiemudlo Island in 1972, the Coochie Art Group (CAG) comprises a small but dedicated band of local artists who share a passion for art and learning.

Featuring a selection of artwork by members and tutors, it celebrates the 50th anniversary of the group’s first exhibition and the diverse professional tutors who have not only imparted their individual painting techniques but have inspired members to explore new avenues of looking at subjects and expressing themselves. A Touch of Gold has also provided the inspiration and platform for members to create new work to celebrate the occasion.
