Connections to the waters of Minjerribah presents Salt Water Murris Quandamooka artists’ recent venture into textile design. Salt Water Murris Quandamooka Inc. is an Aboriginal contemporary visual arts and craft centre located on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) and represents the traditional custodians of Quandamooka Country (Moreton Bay) — the Noonuccal, Ngugi and the Gorenpul clans. The Quandamooka people identify as the people of the sand and seas. This connection with the sand and seas is translated into designs based on the unique natural water environments of Quandamooka.
